Social Media Reaction Numerous buyers and vendors are posting online stating that platform listings now display a modified sizing category versus the original listing as a result of the reclassification. The platform stated the updated approach better aligns with similar services. They have suggested members to check their listings and update the measurements by hand where appropriate, which has left users frustrated. Size Classification Modifications Before the change, the measurements included one number and one letter, like S/8 or M/10. The new system has a letter with a size spectrum like S/UK 8-10. For certain items, the measurements have been reclassified - like an L measurement was formerly size 12 but now shows as UK 16-18. User Accounts A fashion influencer, who produces content about larger sizing, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult". "Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," the way the service now categorizes. Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, stated items she posted featuring size 14 markings were displaying on the service as measurements 20-22. "Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they may become frustrated," she said. Manual Updates A different user, from Derby, stated she felt frustrated because the modification necessitated personal updates the measurements for "each individual item". "For me this is particularly frustrating, because of my ongoing medical condition and selling on Vinted has been paramount for me since losing part of my income," she stated.
